My dad saw a few nice bucks today with both sides on. Haven't seen anything dropped yet. I am badly itching to get out and look but just can't find the reason to do it yet and don't want to run through all my areas before anything has dropped. Probably going to hit public land hard the next couple weekends. Might find a shed or dead head before getting into my good areas later this month.

I'm hoping to check came this weekend and see if anything has dropped yet. I'll probably just walk the fields and pasture and not beat the brush till I feel most have dropped. Checked cams last weekend of season and the bucks we were after we're still around so hopefully find a shed or 2 this year!

I had 3 bucks on camera yesterday. I have 1 that dropped both sides and the other 2 still had both antlers.

20180208_191646_resized(2).jpg Found this one today. Pretty sure it was last year's model, but it's in good shape just bleache

My 9yr old boy and I went walking fields tonight. I found a shed from last year that had been busted by a combine. My boy got the jackpot. He came over the hill packing a real good shed. The one antler scored 66-6/8.

FullSizeRender.jpg Walked yesterday evening in an area that I walk just eight days prior… Found these two singles and this matching set.… all fresh drops from this season!

Love seeing the pictures. This time of year has quickly become nearly as exciting for me as October and November. Tomorrow is my first day out. Hitting some public land. Probably more likely to find some deads from early fall but hopeful for a shed or two.

It just doesn't get any fresher than that!

These are tonight's finds... I have to say it's the first time I've ever found two matching sets and one outing. The other one is from last year.

This is so far this season… Two from last year, three singles from this year and three matching sets from this season.

Man you're killing it, I guess your name says it all, how many different farms did these come off of and are you on public or private land

All of these have come off of three different farms. I will be going next weekend to search for some on public land but these have all come from three separate forms in the same county

Went hiking in the rain Saturday morning for over five hours and came up with these four. This brings my grand total so far this season to 15. Best year I've had in a while…

The best shed from your Saturday walk in the rain will be a nice buck in the fall of 2018, hope you get that set matched up. Congrats on a great start to your shed season. We have not got on the board yet.

Besides walking and walking and walking do you have any tips or suggestions, have you found more in field edges or thick bedding areas I'm just trying to get some advice as a novice shedHunter

I tried public land yesterday and found a dead opossum and a beaver dam. Knew the area was hit pretty hard back in summer and early fall so more expected to find some deads but nothing at all. Hardly any sign even in areas where there are usually a lot of deer. Hadn't been there in a couple years though.
