That surprises me. No. 9 ? The TSS must be good X 2.:):).

Congrats. My buddy snap chatted me his patterns today at 20 yrds then at fourty and i was amazed. It absolutely swarmed that turkey target at 40 yrds

I’m like you. I read up on these shells a bit. I was always like #9 shot? Wouldn’t that just powder one? But the TSS is made to throw that lighter shot hard for longer distances. Heck with regular shells, I won’t even go lighter than 7 1/2 for squirrels and usually use 6 shot! When you’re old school it’s hard to grasp 9 shot being “heavyweight”.

Penetration tests on tin at 50 yds TSS is the only thing that gets 75% pass thru until you go to #5 Winchester HiDensity and it's only 50-75% pass thru. The TSS just carries the power down range. Lead #4 at 40yds only had one pellet pass thru, the rest bounced off. I've heard that by next year, every manufacturer will have their own TSS loads, that should drop the price some. If it drops the price of the shot I'll be happy.

I drove from Morehead to bout 1 hr below Daytona on thursday, and back today. I saw 3 flocks of turks in the entire trip. I was really surprised I didn't see more. All 3 flocks were in KY! :)
