I had been getting pictures of this deer for the last few months and Connor had his eye on him. He has hunted every chance that he could since bow season came in. We saw him last sat but he never came within 100 yards. This evening we were set up up at 5:12 and at 5:33 there was a squirrel that went to barking down the creek from us and at 5:45 he had him down. He was shaking all over and about as tore up as I had ever seen him. Needless to say i think he is hooked. He said he would like to kill a velvet buck this year and he was cutting it close but he managed to get it done. I would say another day or so and he would have been hard horned. I think I'm gonna have to make some room on the wall because we're gonna have it mounted for him, I told him the way he is going he is gonna have more mounts than me before long haha. I'm really proud of the hunter he has become. when the deer was looking towards us he wouldn't move a muscle and he waited for the right shot and took his time and it all just fell into place.
