I walked the same field next to Nolin River again for a few hours in the mud and rain today. The Dove tail is almost 6 1/2 inches long.

I'm jealous, I'm sure you've put your fair share of time in those fines you wouldn't happen to have invented a electronic Flint detector?

RV are you finding any brokes in that spot or just g-10s? That is crazy. And they aren’t even common points! Every one is a showpiece. I would be there every day rain or shine.

Would love to get back into hunting flint again. I'm in the northern ky area, any suggestions on where to go, or would you be interested in getting together to do a little hunting?

I have found a few broken bottom pieces, about 25 other points, stone tools and unfaced scrapers, but nothing in the same type of flint that these are made of. I think there made of Burlington Chert. The land owner told me that this ground has never been plowed since his family has owned it, his grandfather purchased it in the 1800s. He logged and removed the stumps and plowed about 50 acres along Nolin river last fall.

Thanks...I have walked the fields and river banks of Hardin county for the last 55 years and I finally found the right spot. I believe these came from a cache of blades that where buried by early Paleo hunters that lived and hunted this area around 12000 years ago.

I would start by walking the plowed fields along creeks and rivers. The banks of the Ohio river is a great place to find artifacts.

RV ......im afraid you may have someone seeding that field or playing tricks on you. I question some of those as far as authentic .........That Dove I really think is not good or the Grahm cave

I was thinking the same thing after finding all these made of the same material and I have never found any points made from Burlington chert in Hardin county. I have a guy coming over tomorrow to look at them and see if they are authentic or not. If not, I suspect my sons are the ones behind the seeding. I'll let you know how this plays out.
