I'm no expert on BHA, but I'd say a group advocating for public land is going to be important going forward.
I just received an email about starting a KY chapter. They are reaching out to KY members to see if there’s enough support to get the ball rolling.
I know they do a lot of great work advocating for public lands. I haven't heard anything about a KY chapter though.
We have established a Kentucky board and are working towards full chapter status, which we hope to achieve by December or May. We will have a series of pint nights this fall across the state and a hunting how-to series mid-winter, and are engaging with local public land managers. I encourage you to attend whenever you can, and help us to spread the message of advocacy for public lands and waters.
You can go to BHA’s website and sign up for email communications. https://www.backcountryhunters.org/ There is also a KY BHA Facebook page.
