I'm not surprised and if this weather doesn't break I fear we will have another catastrophic loss like 2007. We need rain. Let's hope for the best.

Mother Nature can be very unkind at times. Lets hope rain comes soon.

Dang, we've had a ton of rain here. I don't see us having a problem unless the rest of the summer is very dry.

Found a small buck by creek the other day. I was hoping he got hit by car. Vultures had gotten to him pretty good already so it was hard to tell. We also have a tenant that is hard on the deer in the off season so it could have been him as well. Hope it wasnt the ehd again.

Bummer. I have not seen any, but I have not been to the farm or walked the creek in a couple weeks. (N KY). We've had plenty of rain here in Bracken county.

In 2015 we had an extremely bad episode of it in Anderson County. It started around the 1st week of August. We lost at least 60% of our adult deer population. I don't want to see that again.

Yeah, it played heck with our population for sure. Last couple of years have been tough hunting in our locations.

KDFWR put out an alert to contact wildlife biologist/conservation officers if you find any (they are looking to sample the deer to confirm/deny)...

Neighbor down my road saw a doe and young buck foundering near a pond Tuesday (Logan County). He said that could barely get up and move and then they'd lay back down. I'd say we should brace ourselves to lose some deer this week that got bit last week before the weather broke. Hopefully we will get a bunch of rain shortly and mitigate the risk for the end of the Summer.
