I'm headed on a 10 day western elk hunt this fall. Any recommendations on a good pair of boots?
Lot of good boots out there .... but Danner Pronghorns would be my choice.
Second on the Danners. Mine aren't Pronghorns, can't remember what they are but I've had them going on 5 years now and by far best pair of hunting boots I've owned.
Whatever you choose I'd be getting them soon, so you have plenty of time to get them broken in good. I made that mistake on a turkey hunt in the Alabama mountains. And I'll never make it again....talk about being uncomfortable.
I've had 2 pair of danners. One is over 8 years old and I still wear them. The other was absolute junk!
I know it Beagler. I need to get something soon!
Irish Setter Vaprtrek boots is what I use out west. Very light weight and comfortable. One thing that sold me on them was the comfort.
The most comfortable boots I ever owned and still have are Cabelas perfekt 7" hikers.
