Like i said to each their own, I tried it, didn't like it. Sometimes if it works good enough, leave it alone and don't try to make it work wonderful. I seen guys in the deer woods with 900.00 rifles laugh at my CVA buckstalker muzzleloader during rifle season but when all was said and done, when that CVA spoke, A deer was on the ground so I never seen a reason to own a big time deer rifle.
Buckstalkers are made by traditions gun makers. Cva has the wolf. Pretty similar mls. I love my wolf.
The way I see it, there aren't many things in turkey hunting we have 100% control over. Knowing how your gun patterns at various ranges is one that we DO. If you don't know what your gun will do, you owe it to the turkeys to find out!
You would be surprised,at the turkeys missed ,at just a few yards out,a good turkey gun and load combo ,can throw some tight patterns ,especially close.
Thank you for the correction, best muzzleloader I ever had. Yeah it was a b--- to clean but man was it accurate
Well boys my Mossberg 500 just arrived at the gunshop, so I'm off to go pick it up, anyone want pics of it when I get back?
I put a scope on my turkey gun when I couldn't see the bead anymore. For me it was simply a case of bad eyesight. As I've gotten older, my prescription has changed back to the point where I'm starting to use irons and beads again. The big change was was when I started getting bi-focals. However, I'll say that a really low power scope cranked down to 1X-2.5X is a good way to go.
If the pic is the rt size but usually not. Download the app 'resize it' then u lower the size of the pic
