Im depressed season is over. Can't believe it went that fast. I like to deer hunt, but I love spring; turkey hunting and shrooming.

I only got to hunt 5 days, including Youth. With Easter, weather, work, and my Uncle's passing, just didn't get to get out much. Only killed one bird, and it was the only bird I saw drop. Been a very long time since I didn't tag out, and I don't recall a year where I only saw one flop. Hopefully next year will be better.

We had a good spring. My dad got 2, me 2 and my son 1. But I tried to get him his second but didn't work out. And we found over 400 shrooms. I take a week of first week of season every year. It was a blast. My son getting his first turkey was awesome. Now getting him prepared for his first deer!! Can't wait!

Behind my house too. Amazing how much hunting pressure shuts them down!

The countdown to fall turkey hunting begins the minute i kill #2.. Had yet another fine season, 2 birds in 2 hunts...1 bird in 2 hunts in Indiana.. Spring 2018 cant get here fast enough. Wishing my life away i guess. My early opinion is 2018 will be spotty due to wet, coolish May in 16.

Was my first year back at it. Was fortunate enough to kill two birds in tough conditions. Birds not really working well, rain, Easter, kinda all made this season interesting. I ended up taking two silent birds that gobbled like crazy on the roost, shut up on the ground, and eventually worked their way to their strutting zones. Its flat head chasing time til archery season I guess.
