Who else is getting ready? Hopefully everyone will post some pics from beginning to end. I like see others plots. Mowed two feeds today. Got a couple more but was getting low on fuel. Got questions post them. Between us all we can figure anything out.

Good looking spot. I will try and take some pics this weekend. I’m not planning anything new at this point just spraying, fertilizing and mowing and posably some over seeding for me this year.

Airstrip Aftermath Round Up 1.jpg Airstrip Bowl Round Up 1.jpg Field 1 Round Up 7-14-18 (2).jpg Field 1 Round Up 7-14-18 (3).jpg Field 1 Round Up 7-14-18.jpg We mowed about 5.5 acres of plot areas at our farm in Green County last weekend. Each plot about an acre in size, except for 1 that was 1. 5 acres. We are planting 2 acres of triticale, 1 acre forage rape, 1 acre forage radish, and hopefully 2 acres of different clovers.

This is our first real effort at plotting as we have had the farm only two years. Going to plow, disc, and broadcast the clovers. The rest is getting planted with a drill planter.

We sprayed all the areas we mowed with Gly last weekend. I think I have already learned that spraying Gly the same day you mow is not ideal. No matter, we are doing a second round of Gly on 8/11 and planting/fertilizing 8/25. Doing 100 lbs of T19 on the triticale and brassicas. The clover, I have not decided yet as far as fertilizer goes.

Go with a 7-20-20 on the clovers. They will help them get started really well an establish a good stand.

Here are what our plots look like 7 days post RoundUp application #1. The field we are going to plant clover has been plowed and disked. We are gonna hit with another round of RoundUp on 8/11/18.

65BCCBF8-B321-4DA3-898C-5A926053A562.jpeg Finally started spraying my clover yesterday, one more tankfull today after the dew burns off and the clover should have a lot less broadleaf in it. Then change over to Gly and hit the roundup ready alfalfa once more. After that hopefully al that should be left is to mow in a couple weeks.
