And another one set, that's me practicing my draw from above.
Headed home and waiting for opening day!
Still a little damp in this area.
Looking good. I'd say you'll get a 140 class buck out of that stand this year!
I can't wait. Nothing to be excited about but I'll gladly stick a doe we are about to run out of deer from last year anyways. Like mainbeam I have the turkeys patterened they are in every day morning and evening. Would mind getting me a Turk with my bow either.
He came in last year! It was about 10:30 am, I was watching a Hawk that flew down near me, heard nothing as the ground was wet. I finally looked around to see him standing at about 25 yards trying to figure out what that big blob was about 25' up a nearby tree. All I could do was sit still while he reversed and walked away. I tried to hide better this year!
I have no stands hung, no cameras out, don't know my property and, haven't shot my bow since last year. However, as soon as I hit U.S. soil I am headed to my farm and looking for some transition trails, bedding areas and hanging a stand. I hope to at least get a big nanny or two before heading back overseas. That back strap won't even be cold before going on the grill!!!
If it would stop raining, I'll put my clothes out on the line to dry so I can store them in bags. How much you want to bet with all this nice weather we're having, it will be humid and in the upper 80's on opening day!!??
if only we could believe accuweather!!
Cornpile, Is he for real? If so, hope you get him 9/2!!!
16 more days
Just finished flinging arrows. Going out to mow and clear some access roads in morning. And to check two cams.
Bought some Scent Killer tonight at walmart!! My heart rate is rising!!
Wow, if this really happens, it will be awesome. But I'll be there regardless of the weather.
