..There are a lot of ripe seeds and yellow plants out there, although some were still quite green.
Very nice , I would like to get some seeds or roots to plant on my farm and get Ginseng started growing .
I planted a half pound of tame seeds over 10 years ago back in the woods on my farm , I have checked them every year and nothing has come up .
I understand the leaves have some of the same properties as the roots...just not as potent. Have you heard this, Hoosier?
I confess that I have not. ( It very well may be true) I'll see what I can find out.
Thanks...it's probably one of those "wives tales". Just something I've heard from a few people over the years.
I found a few articles claiming that the leaves have some of the same properties, though I cannot vouch for them. Here is one:
Kentucky plant from a few days ago.
Wonder how many people ,have already been digging ,the last few weeks.
Think I’ll go look again this year. I prolly walk right past a pile of it. Would love to find one just to say I’ve found some
I would like to get them started on my farm too, or is Northern Pendleton county too far north?
It ranges up into Ontario, so you should be good!
A lot of the bad guys. They caught a guy in Corydon with five pounds a few days ago. Every year they catch dummies bringing dried product into buyers on the first day of season.
Probably been encouraged by that idiot TV "reality" show.
They’ll get somebody to drop them off ,hunt all day ,then they’ll come pick back up that evening.Thats the way a lot of the trespassers, deer hunt around here too,you can usually ,recognize their drop off ,and pick up,by a pop can hanging on a bush.
