Who's switched over to a hammock for sleeping? What brand you like. Better
that ground sleeping? Been spending a lot of time on a hammock forum. Got me wanting to give it a go!

I've had an ENO double for almost 10 yrs.

I've spent many comfortable nights in it.

Man.... I've got nothing remotely constructive to add to this conversation and wish you the best of luck and enjoyable camping.

It just struck me funny that there was such a thing as a " hammock forum".... lol.

You wouldn't believe the whole sub culture that exists out there. These folks got it dialed in. Check out YouTube vids on hammock camping. Shug emery is a blast!

I believe you ... no doubt what so ever. I could see where it would be a fun way to camp / backpack.

Which I've seen the time I could have pitched a sleeping bag on a rock ... and have. But as I've gotten a little older....I'm more of pitching a sleeping bag on top of a soft mattress at the cabin ... type of camper... lol.

Same way here. Past few times out I've used the Kelty backpacker. Got the Hennessy Deluxe. Doubt you will be disappointed.

Me and my girlfriend have one that we're going to try next month. We got Grand Trunks. Picked one up from Meijer's for $17. I've used it in the backyard and I think it'll be good to camp in, but take some getting used to since I'm normally a side sleeper and these kind of force you to sleep on your back.

But I am curious why some people bought the more expensive ones. I've looked at them and can't see that there's any difference.

I got the Hennessy for the bug protection. I was figuring I'd be happy and bug free on nights that my buddy would be hatin life...lol.

At the time it was the only double hammock that I could find. I have had it for several years.

I did see a video that showed how to hang one so you could comfortably lay on your side. But I haven't tried it yet. I plan to put mine out this weekend in the back yard and try it out.
