Has anyone else seen this show about HECS clothing on the Pursuit channel. It is supposed to make your electrical signal invisible to game animals. They will try about any kind of crap to get money out of hunters.

We've mentioned it a time or two on here before. Interesting to watch but hard to believe. On the plus side it's really not that expensive when you compare it to a lot of other gimmicks.

Take it from the guy who wears a funny headdress and shakes a rattle: beware of any product for hunters that

    a) Purports the existence of an unseen, unknown force
    b) Purports that you cannot sense it, but deer not only sense, but they are extremely sensitve to it
    c) Claims their product will attenuate this force

If you go through my weblog, looking under the category "Elephant Repellent," you'll get details. If you don't believe me, then before you get heavily invested in HECS, you might want to try my anti-telepathy hat:

Back about a decade ago, we received a letter from a fellow who had bought into the whole Fart-lok craze, hook line and sinker. There was a prostaffer for one of the companies that was making regular visits to his local outdoor store, and this poor fellow was having a terrible time.

First he bought a jacket and pants (about $300). Then he bought a hat and socks and underwear. He was still not seeing the big buck of his dreams. The prostaffer listened to what he was saying and suggested that all he needed were Fartlok gloves and a special Fartlok bin to hold everything and Fartlok dryer sheets and Fartlok deoderant.

This guy had invested probably $600 in Fartlok merchandise before he finally asked someone else what might be going wrong. A few of the pro-staffers at D&DH forum told him he'd been seriously taken. He then disappeared. I don't know what happened to him. I don't know if he was successful or the Fartlok goons caught up with him and made him a pro-staffer.

I bought a special pair of glasses so the deer couldn't detect I was staring at them.

Couldn't you just drag a piece of copper wire and ground youself to get the same thing?

I bought one of these so I can sneak right up on them and join their herd.

Where would you connect the copper wire to your body?
    Up the azz?
