I agree. I gotta work all weekend or i would be out looking. Going to try and go monday or tuesday. I found the first last yr on march the 20th if i remember correctly. I posted it on here. I could prolly go back and find exactly which day it was. But this year seems to be ahead of schedule do to the warm snaps. Im getting ground temps in my yard around 53. So cant be long. Butter cups have been up about a week too. An for me thats usually a good sign.

Holland, I checked last year’s thread and your 1st find was 3/8 and mine were 3/3. I’m going to check my early spots tomorrow and I expect some will be up already. Ground temps have been above 50 the past week and mostly in the 55-60 degree range. We might just need a little more rain!

Till they all pop and, we post our finds, let’s post pics of our biggest finds of yesteryears. This was the famous 2012 season, at least was famous around here. 2F368373-0484-4EB4-8CFE-8137E7037850.jpeg 78208E8A-A116-4858-AF93-550E0AA61B90.jpeg

You have never found a shroom? They can be hard to find when you first start looking but the more you go and start finding them it is like they just stick out.

Here is a link to ramps.

I usually find them around old apple trees fallen logs rocky areas and brush piles. Also watch ditch lines around roadsides. If any burnt areas are around or places where logging or some type work has been done check those as well. You find a few and it will seem like they are everywhere
