This dude has my respect. Rear naked choke on a cougar. https://www.denverpost.com/2019/02/05/how-runner-killed-mountain-lion-attack-larimer-county/
Wow! He's a bad sumb!tch! Hope he has a full recovery, that had to be a terrible few minutes. Good for him.
Definitely good for him and I’d say a young inexperienced cat and circumstances played out to his favor. It’s hard to say what I would go down but I’d be fighting for my life too!
Given the way cats can twist their bodies and use their hind legs, he must have got a pretty good blow to the animal's head before he choked it. He is lucky it didn't sever an artery when it chomped down on his arm. Amazing story....
So the guy put the cat in whats called a 'body triangle' it sounds like. So thats probably a rear naked choke and the legs wrap around the cat and one foot goes behind the knee to secure the lock. This way the animal cant really twist out of it. Also noticed it said the cat was less than a year old... does that make it a kitten?
Some kinda badazz he is! Heck a house cat will tear a feller up. I seen where a guy shot a 2yr old tom in a target rich environment in Alberta that weighed almost 200lb. I couldn't get past the subscribe bs on that link to see the size of this one.
What’s his fight name after this? Crazy story. Good for him for making it out alive. I would have probably gone for the kimura though. To each their own. Just saying when I inevitably get attacked by a mountain lion on my farm...I’m going with a fury of stand up. Transitioning into a take down. Moderate ground and pound and immediately into a kimura as soon as I feel reluctance in the cat.
Hope he gets to mount it. “Yeah grandkids. See that little kitty. It made the wrong decision to attack me one day while I was jogging...so I choked to it death.”
