I had a new string and cable installed this year wanting to maximize its life during the off-season I've heard of cranking the limbs all the way out in wax anything else I'm missing or could do to maximize my string life

I wax my string every month or so, but I shoot my bow at least twice a week all year. Don't store your bow where it will be hot in the summer, like a garage. Heat is not good place to store your bow. Waxing helps the life of your string.

Would it be beneficial if I shot it once a week or something as far is the health of the Bow, I guess I could always use the practice but I probably wouldn't usually

string life always depends on how often you shoot. Just my 2 cents but to be the best hunter you can be , practice. I shoot often and usually buy a new bow every 7 or 8 years. The new bows now are made very well , and so are the new strings.
