I was thinking the same thing, probably not to far from the river
A ways from the river...the only time he gets his feet wet is when it rains
Wanted to say "thanks" for all the posts....we have several really nice deer coming to this spot. These were the first good pictures we had of him this year. We think it was him and another big one walking by the camera a week and half ago. The other big one was stationary and we got his picture and we think DD was walking out a little further and was a little blurry, but side profile had all characteristics saying DD....
Just a wild guess, I’ve noticed a lot of deer close to the Ohio river carry a lot of mass
I wouldn’t shoot him...because I’d already be dead of a heart attack if that were coming at me! Good luck!
DD's running buddies showed up...Big 9 & a nice 8 ptr. They normally hang together. DD is definitely showing signs of finishing out. MBs are turning in like we thought they would. Maybe another 1" on both. He has about an inch of black left on his 2s, 3s and 4s. He might squeeze out 1/2"-1" on them...maybe.
Be hard to pass either one of those deer up. Be even harder shooting anything less than DD....
Some really great deer there! Brows on that 11 are nuts! You have several mature deer to choose from for sure! Good Luck!
Hot Dayum.... to both.
Whoa Baby!! That's a keeper.
Wow! What a difference a couple years makes, that's why I let the little ones walk.
You lucky man....That will make the long sets in the stand a little easier for sure. Good luck with this beast!!
DD seems to be finishing out pretty good...
