Have to ask how and what is making pike co grow these Hammers. Is there alot of ag there ?
Lol i barley could breathe after dragging him out
Buddy these Mountian bucks has a lot of territory to roam. These hills are not fun trying to find them at times!
I remember this buck for some reason! Oh because you took it behind my house lol
That’s the key, a lot of our big bucks die of old age without seeing a hunter
Yea I live in se ky . We hike in for the big 1s and I've haven't had chance to see anything close to that yet . Hopefully in time I will .
Another Greenup Co,I did not kill, from few years ago
Just have to be patience and spend as much time in the woods as possible and don’t shoot the first buck you see. This rife season I passed on a 10, 11, and missed a giant. Then I got lucky with the one I did get. Very blessed season I’ve had. I have videos of them all. If I get the chance I will post them.
another Greenup Co buck
Buddy you shouldn’t have turned your phone off. I tried to call to wake you up to hunt with me. Sad part was he probably came right by your stand before he got to me. You just said you didn’t want me to shoot the little bucks so I didn’t LOL
Love seeing them big mountain bucks! I've hunted clay co my whole life and you learn to appreciate the work that goes into them. Its not easy hunting to find the big ones but its so rewarding when you do.
This was killed in Breathitt Co this year.

A lot of big boys on there. Harlan County has turned out some great big mountain bucks the past few seasons.
It's hard hunting in the big hills. Real hard to pattern the deer compared to being able to hunt the woodlot/farm setup throughout many areas of the state. I enjoy hunting those areas because you have less cover and a bigger deer density, it makes for more action. However, home base has me mountain hunting and I've grown to love it. You won't see the numbers down here but when you are setting in a wood lot that attaches to 25,000 acres of woods, you never know what can roll through in search of a lady.
My neighbors in floyd or perry dont allow the bucks to get that big. That's really what it all boils down to
