Excited to hunt this saturday with the morning temps starting in upper 30's. Still a bit early, I'm sure, but I do have a nice 8 point buck roaming my property I would take if he showed up.

Todate, I've not seen a single "Buck sign" anywhere on my property. I've been seeing a great number of antlerless Deer though, so a Buck has to be around somewhere. It's been way too hot for any rutting activity, and with the weather finally becoming cooler more signs should start showing up, normally during rifle season.

Had a group of 5 does walk past me yesterday afternoon and watched them walk out of sight 100 yards away. 30 minutes later a little buck cut across their trail and immediately lowered his nose to the ground and followed their trail. I doubt that 1 of the does was in heat but found his reaction interesting.

I watched a 5 pointer chase one doe after another this evening. The does didn't want anything to do with him.

Had a 120 class 8pt make 3 big scrapes and was wearing out the licking branch above each one this afternoon all about 25 yds away. Cool watching him.

Exciting signs. Not too much longer now!! My neighbor has trail camera photo of two decent bucks clashing antlers.

I saw and counted 108 does Friday morning at a pinch point going to and from a cut corn field in three hours and only one 4 point chasing them. About half stopped and checked a scrape and licking branch. The next morning only saw nine does at location. Good scrapes and some with drippers are being made now. I am spraying doe est. pee foam on limbs and scrape in day time. 2 bucks are showing up in daylight hours now. Herds of deer!!! 49 does in one herd!!! Killed two does already but need to kill more. First in my 53 years of hunting many states.

No scrapes or rubs on my farm in Barren Co that I’ve seen but LOTS of pics and videos of bucks chasing does hard.
