    Not here anymore
Yes, fairly common. Asking for any more information is like asking for ginseng or morel spots........

Yes I have. I dig a few while in the woods looking for shrooms or sheds.

There are a lot of other edibles in the woods that are just as good to eat.

Are they generally next to creeks or banks near creeks or are they located higher on the benches or ridge tops ?

Thanks , I am just trying to find a starting place , Next question are they worth the effort to look for or are so strong that you can only eat a few to keep vampires away ?

It took me several years to find the patch I have, from when I first learned of them from the boys from PA. If I was to start over I would float a well known water way and search banks with Bino's looking for green patches in late March. And then ask for permission to dig. As far as strong.Well that really depends on when you dig. Myself I am down to my last jar of pickled leaks right now. And the wife is very happy they are about gone. Yesterday I was wishing I had some to make ramp dip but looking in the freezer- empty. I like the bite of the ramp. I will take the green and make pesto , mix in with wilted lettuce, or use as a lettuce substitute on a cheeseburger. good luck

P.S. anyone that is a ramp virgin be for warned. If you pickle them and eat one may God have mercy on whoever is around you when you fart. Fried wild rabbit farts are pooperie compared to wild leeks. Pickled Ramps are only for camp and stripping backer you know times when farting is appropriate

Sounds like when i find some I'll eat some boiled eggs and Limburger cheese with them and wash it down with a few PBRs , and Trump will be wanting to use me for border security
