Want to know what a lot of people play out socialism??

To them it's not the idea that if YOU have something and others don't then you should share it.

It's the idea that if they can't have something then YOU should not either.

There are enough people out there that seriously believe in that crap.

Here's a score card for the 20th Century of all the "loving work" of socialist regimes. Just 170 million murdered...all in the spirit a of loving, nurturing and liberal manner, of course.

In 2011, 5 years before running for president in 2016, Bernie Sanders described Socialist-ruled Venezuela as a more suitable exemplar of the American dream than the United States.

So people need to look at Venezuela as the model the socialists want for America.

There is a reason the United States is the envy of the world...and it isn't because of socialism.

I do not, under any circumstances support Socialism as a form of government. We do, however, accept some socialist programs in this country. Schools, Fire, parks, and police are perfect examples. The debate is how much is acceptable in a Constitutional Republic.

Several years ago, I got to talk to a young lady who had come here from Cuba. According to her, someone in the government makes just about all of your decisions for you. For example, she said that each family received a certain amount of food based on family size. Lots of rice, meat was rare and considered a luxury.

She also said children are given tests in school, and the government decides what occupation they have when they grow up, based on those tests.

Something that really stuck with me was something that she said happened when she first got to Louisville.

Her family, who had already been here for a while, took her to a Kmart.
She said she had a panic attack so bad that it led into a migraine, and she thought she was going to die.

I asked her what happened, and it didn’t make any sense when she first started explaining it. Here’s what she said:

“When I saw the shampoo aisle and then the bread aisle, I knew that my family had been brainwashed. This was some kind of government fake store, and my family took me there trying to trick me into believing how great this country was.”

She went on to explain that when she got here, she didn’t understand capitalism. She didn’t think it was possible to have so many different kinds of bread or shampoo that they would fill up whole aisles in a store.

Hearing this stuff first hand was really something.

By the way, she had gone to school and became a dental assistant. That’s how I met her. I was getting a root canal, and she sat with me before and after the procedure.

‘Sorry for the long post, but I think about that girl just about every time I hear the word socialism.
