A friend of mine called me all excited and said a local gun shop owner told him there was, or was gong to be, a state coyote bounty paid for each killed. The bounty payment was what made me really question this. He said the guy told him there would be $90.00 paid for each coyote. Have any of you heard this?

Too many guys would quit their jobs and just kill yotes every day.
I cashed in the nose of a groundhog for 15 cents in hopkinton RI. Way back when I hunted a horse farm up there.

90 bucks is too much, but a bounty would be money well spent to thin down the coyotes in the state. Can you imagine how many animals of all types, game and non-game, that these things kill each year?

pelts don't even bring that much. $10-$15 would be a good price, but where would the pay out money come from??????? who's going to fund the program regardless of how much it would cost?

I'd believe that when I seen it. At that price it would be worth it for me to drive up from Florida and whack and stack all of them on the farm that I could get in my crosshairs. We killed 16 in Nov and 5 more in January while I was up there this last season.

i used to live in va where there was a bounty, and it was set up with so much money a month, once that money was gone each month you couldn't get any till the next month. trappers usually got it all. I was checked by an officer a couple years ago and asked him why there was no bounty here and he told me there would never be a bounty in ky for yotes.

If somebody could get a video of a small wolf munching on an elk, then use it convince the KDFWR that coyotes were preying on their precious elk, you talk about being all out homicidal war on coyotes in this state :devilish:

If a bounty is put on anything, it should be those calf killing buzzards. They are more of a worry around here than a coyote is.

It is just a matter of time before one of those buzzards goes after a child....

I told my buddy if they really want to get rid of coyotes, just spread the rumor that they were put here by Communists that hated hunting and wanted to ban NACAR.

I wonder which would cause more to be killed... saying that Obama put them here or that Trump put them here?
