This is the absolute best insect repellent I have ever used. I have never picked up a chigger or deer tick when using this. It is hard to find. The guys at the phone company use it.

That is deet, and Sawyers is pyrmethrin. I can get sawyers at wmart, but I bet using both together would keep the bugs away. Where do you get the rainbow?

I use either Repel or Deep Woods Off. Repel contains 40% Deet, and Off Deep Woods slightly less. Don't really have all that many Mosquitoes but lots of Chiggers & Ticks.

Also been using the sawyers for the last few seasons with no issues. Good to have choices though.

I always just mix up water and straight permethrin in a sprayer and spray my clothes down works like a charm

My luck if I tried that, would be some kind of chemical burn...

Permethrin hands down. Use as directed, you'll never have another tick.

    your moms
I prefer Dannon's, though Sawyers does well too.

  14. In the Morehead area we have pockets of Turkey Mites. They are small like chiggers but black and once bit, you will itch for three to four weeks with these little !@#$'ers. I started putting Sawyers on my camo, socks and boots. It helps but I still end up with a few on me. I put deet on myself but am all ears if there is a better way.

What is in the old mil-spec bottles that the Army & Marines used in Nam? That stuff works but cannot find it now. Any other ideas?

Sawyers here too. Proof is in the non scratching. Haven't had a tick since I started using it. For what it is worth, I kept my livestock animals sprayed with concentrated Permethrin mixed as directed and also my yard. No problems.
