I think corn is what has led to a decline of birds in my area idk, some say it rots and disease from manure mixed with it kills them, plus I’m sure if the outlaws hunt over it probably not good either
I've got the same super crystal that I've had for probably 15 years along with a mad aluminator. Those 2 are my go to calls along with a ol yeller slate. I've got a old green plastic striker with the big dome on top that I've had just as long, it may have come with the super crystal, can't remember. That old striker sounds great on most any calls. I would buy a couple extras if I could find them.
I've called a LOT of birds with the aluminator. It is a great mid-long range call and it's also the best I've had in wet weather.
I need to get me another one but I'm not sure if they didn't go extinct just like the H.S woodwitch glass pot, now there was a sweet call
Long story short. Met a guy from western ky back in the winter was here in knott co hunting elk. Well he was a president of a local nwtf. We put the boy that was with him on some elk but never got to close the deal. It was an archery cow tag. Well he was happy that we turkey hunted and was really proud of my son getting into hunting. He promised he would send some custom pots that he makes. He called me this weekend and said he was putting them in the mail today. Total of 4-a aluminum, slate, and 2 glass. One having a pic of my sons turkey he took last spring. I'll will post pics when they arrive.
are you being funny or are you serious? I'd hate to be laughed at for carrying a dang dog whistle to make a bird shock gobble but if your serious tell me more, I'm kinda fond of the peacock call
