When are you taking off to hunt?

I retired in March so pretty much whenever. My problem is due to health issues, my cousin sold their 200 acre farm in Mercer County. It was a beautiful farm for hunting and it's been divided up into 10 acre mini farms. I get sick every time I think about it. This year I'll be limited to NC and...

Very strange things on the way to one of our stands.

Instead of a regular trail camera, get one with the plot watching capabilities, put it up higher out of sight. That way no one needs to walk right in front of it to trip it. You can set it to take pics up or down the powerline and cover a huge area.

    Need a Hunting Show Name!!!!

You could call it "Fair Chase Outdoors" and your logo could be a picture of Jimmy Houston with a slash through him. Or since it's going to be mostly public land, you could call it "Open To All Outdoors".

    Scheduling vacation

I have plenty of vac time and if needed, I can always make a return trip. I have done all my hunting in the past either around Harrodsburg or Mt. Sterling but I have a chance to hunt a farm in Hopkins county and I'm hoping to hunt it early and often.

    European mount

I have been reading on this site for years but just recently registered. Posts like this makes it easy to see why everyone gives you such a hard time. If that's all you got to say, why say it? By the way it's "as soon" not assume. You know the old saying about assuming? You just did it to...

    your biggest trophy's???

Don't get to hunt Kentucky often. Born in Lexington but moved as a child. Still have alot of family in the area. I mainly hunt in NC where I now live and last year I got my best so far. 8pt. that green scored 142 1/2. Not a monster for KY but pretty good for around here.
