I’ve used open sights, Leupold 2/4/6x, variable Nikon, Burris, tasco world class, Simmons, Burris fast fire, and now use reiki on rmr on my new heavier recoiling stuff and holosun on the lighter 9s/45s and anything on 22s. I love optics on handguns. I won’t take the scopes off, but I won’t buy another. I think the holosun will be fine, I just like the trijicon. I run it on a 10mm long slide, but may put a holosun on it and move that to a 44. Have had a trim icon on a 686+ with hot loaded 158 magnums for a pretty good while shooting revolver in action pistol every week at my local. Cheaper optics have came alonnnnnnnnnnnnnng way in the last 3 years.

I ended up sending the sight back. Awesome sight, but after messing around with it a bit i decided it added a little too much weight to an already heavy gun. So, back to square one…

I decided to go with the Leupold Deltapoint Pro in 2.5 MOA and I'm very pleased with it. Spent a little time shooting and dialing it in today and I'm already looking forward to getting to hunt with this setup...

What ammo did you go with? And what grain bullet?
I’ve messed around with a few different factory loads, mostly shooting a 240 grain bullet… Hornady, Fiocchi, Magtech, HSM. Honestly the gun has shot each of them quite well, but seems to like the Hornady’s best. I haven’t settled on an actual hunting load yet. I’m still doing a little research and hoping to start loading my own soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated
