Father springs into action after coyote attacks toddler outside Los Angeles home

A family in Los Angeles, California had just arrived home after picking their 2-year-old daughter up from preschool when a coyote approached and attacked the toddler in the front yard.

Coyotes are getting Brazen. They are very Brazen At nighttine ....my son and I had one Growl at us one night years ago. One fella at Eubank had a bunch put him on top of his truck several years ago.

Had a bitch run me up a tree one time, road my 4 wheeler into a place and stopped to get off and gear up.
Parked within 8 feet of her din in a cedar thicket she about tore me a new asshole! Grabbed ahold of a tree limb and pulled myself up in a tree and couldn't get my gun off the atv, she finally moved her pups away and I jumped back on it and road away.
They died a couple days later of lead poisoning!

Ive had friends get surrounded and stuck in a tree bow hunting. I said, why didn’t you shoot them. They said, I only had 5 arrows… what about your pistol? Uh, I was bow hunting…

Those western coyotes hit different.

I consider them LA yotes (or whatever city) for lack of a better term an "Urban yote". Neighborhoods are their forest and their hunting ground....they have grown extra comfortable living among people.

I went gangster one night with my 40 sw hunting late September bow hunting on the ground, bean field edge of the woods but thick woods and had 4 come by me, emptied the clip, didn’t hit a dam thing lol,

I missed one with my backup snubby one night after fishing. I tried it at 40. My buddies still rag me to this day about that miss.

I carry a spare magazine when I’m bow hunting. I figure whatever’s in the rifle or shotgun and one magazine ought to get me back to the truck safe in gun season.

Glad the kids going to be okay. Those urban coyotes are something else. They live in almost every major city now including Chicago and New York. I’ve seen them in Lexington on a number of occasions. Their adaptability goes to show how smart they are.

That was over 30 yrs ago I don't think I even owned a handgun back then!
You really didn't need one like now.

I was alone up a dark hollow a few years ago in a hunting cabin, and had gone up to the outhouse in the dark that night. The next morning there was a bunch coyote tracks all around the cabin like they had been circling it at night. I guess they smelled my food. I carried a pistol and a good light with me for nighttime outhouse duty after that. I would have been in a bad situation because it looked like there was at least 5 or 6, maybe more.
