There are probably many thousands of guys just like him. Loner, stoner, weird, and even making numerous threats. How do you pick the one that’s going to go that last step and goes on a killing spree ? You can’t simply lock them all away for being weird stoners. Even if they tell someone they are going to kill everyone… is that enough to put them away? We can’t hardly get prosecutors to put away people that’s actually committed crimes much less just threaten to.

He was threatening suicide. Bet everyone is sorry now for intervening.
Ok…..but if they have no probable cause to arrest him, I don’t understand how they had probable cause to confiscate his property?

So I’m struggling with the idea of forcibly committing/imprisoning the countless whacked out and batshit crazy Americans among us. I have no problem telling others that they are not fit to live amongst our American society. I guess my question is how can that legally be determined? Why should it be any different than a criminal trial? Why do we not have local prosecutors bring forth an indictment to a grand jury of sorts to determine if you are bat shit crazy? Then you must be convicted by a jury of your peers to have your rights restricted. Never mind. None of that matters. This isn’t about solving the problem nor do I think that could feasibly work. Our culture is rotten and needs a grassroots disinfectant. Something to purify and get back to building a community

If he was using marijuana or other drugs, had been treated for or had mental health issues and purchased the firearm “legally” it wasn’t legally obtained.
To me, firearm restrictions have nothing to do with this…but only make the problem worse. Social media has a far greater impact than the availability of firearms. We refuse to acknowledge that sone people are fubarred. It’s all about inclusion and excuses and no accountability. We have zombies living amongst us and we refuse to deal with it. We deny that our culture is disgusting and destructive

There is a process legally where you are examined to deem if you are a threat to yourself or others before you are put in a nuthouse. When I was in nursing, we had a guy that saw fires all the time. His sister drove by his house one day and he had his bed in the front yard under a tree, she asked him why and he said because his house was on fire. A few months later he jumped through his 2nd story window to escape the "fire". He was examined and deemed to be a threat to himself and in he went. Idk though how you would go about doing this with whomever nowadays though. Like you I think it's a slippery slope that would be nothing more than making political prisoners for those not goose stepping with the Reich.

Looks like the parents backed him up and helped him out. The father also said those knives were his and not his sons and got them all back.

The parents refused to give the police any information threats and mental health.

The kid was TOO YOUNG to get an Ill gun card (FOID), his father helped him out and.

""The subject was under 21 and the application was sponsored by the subject’s father. Therefore, at the time of the FOID application review in January of 2020, there was an insufficient basis to establish a clear and present danger and deny the FOID application," police said."

This country has mocked and profaned a Holy and Righteous God for decades. Removed any reference it can from it’s institutions. Now you can see the fruits of this demonic effort. But hey! This is much better than Christianity. Right?
