Antarctica hasn’t warmed in 70 years despite rising CO2 levels; climate scientists baffled

Agreed … for me, I’m amazed at the decades long time lapse photographs of glaciers and how their rate of decline is accelerating. That acceleration rate is something that is measurable over time.
Yes, I saw one on TV somewhere (Switzerland?) where they had to keep building new steps down to the glacier for tourists. All along the way were signs telling where the glacier USED to be just years before.

A telling fact I think is the 2010s were the warmest decade ever recorded worldwide (since 1800s)….AND every decade has been warmer than the previous one since the 1960s!

My snow shovel has not left the garage wall this winter, for the first time ever. We’ve had three snows - 1 inch, 1 inch, half inch - all melted in a day or so. It has been years since I have needed to plow a driveway. And this is in SE Ohio. Knock on wood, though! 😊. Just so many signs…

Snow shovel hasn't hasn't left the garage for the first time ever? How old are ya Skippy? Kentucky is not a northern state. You do realize that? Right?

I remember plenty of bad winters in KY, also remember plenty that we had a cord or two of wood leftover. I remember a few from childhood where the 'baccer stobs rerooted and started growing in fields the following spring. I also remember some that had frozen dirt in the bottom of the plow furrows in March.

Global warming causes snow!

That's what I was told by a friend's, 27yo liberal son. I then glanced to my friend who winced as he quickly turned away as if he didn't hear the conversation.
Didn’t you know if you boiled water hot enough and long enough it turned into ice? 🤣🤣

Climate change. More extreme weather events of all types. We learned years ago the original moniker “Global Warming” did not accurately describe what was happening worldwide. As you can see, our weather is fluctuating wildly, but you ain’t seen nothin yet!
So you're saying the narrative keeps changing? Wonder what it will be called next?

It’s amazing that you think 1 anecdotal time lapse video somehow proves human caused “climate change.” What’s more ridiculous is that you fail to understand that while ice may be shrinking within 1 particular geographic area, it can be simultaneously growing in another. You muppets are exhausting in your allegiance to your cult.

You are exactly right. There are some glaciers that are growing. Some decline. There are reasons for both that do not have to always be the "human cause it all" excuse. These alarmist are the exact ones that saw the single photo of the skinny polar bear floating on the little piece of ice and they automatically believe the population is doomed from one photo they were shown. The geothermal activity may be playing the biggest part of it.

We are seeing trees that grew in areas the ice receded. So it was once warm there. So who is to say the forest growing in those areas isn't what should be normal? Was it normal for North America to be covered in glaciers or what we see now when they are melted? How many of the alarmist would love to see the glaciers back across North America? I bet they wouldn't.

Some people want to be fooled and want to be controlled and want to believe man is the cause of everything that's bad. Its an easy formula that their masters know is a winner.

100K years ago the earth was between 3 and 5 degrees warmer than today. What man made calamity caused that one? It does not matter if it’s the China Flu or this climate change horse shit, one thing is 100% for certain, “they” are looking for any opportunity to wreck the financial security of the country. To what end I’m not certain unless it is to destroy everything as it is/was.

Glaciers used to be all the way down in Ohio. Did caveman farts start the process? Were there sweat shops in China back then?
C’mon man … you’re more intelligent than to be pandering to the terminally foolish.

Climate change is all about trends over time and their acceleration or deceleration compared to historical norms.

Todays climate change problem is the increases in avg global temperatures that are accelerating faster than historical norms and its effects on increasing localized weather extremes.
