Anyone else mow the path to your stands?

I mow, weed whack or cut a path to all my stands. Mostly so I’m don’t contact the vegetation and leave scent. Way too many paths with leaves to mess with them. I will rake a path to get close to a roosted gobbler.

I've raked a path to a stand for my bride....once. deer used it also. One walked up to her stand and she never heard it.

I use my patent pending "Toe Gitter" mower to mow trails early in the season. Just salvage push mowers on garbage day. Get them running, then jack 'em up. It will cut up to a about pinky finger size saplings with no trouble. If I kill it, just set it out an garbage night...

I also mow trails to my tree stands. Also collect any sticks and fallen limbs off the trail.

We drive a sxs to within a few hundred yards of all our stands. Have to constantly keep trails clear for it, whether it’s gullies, brush or fallen trees. We clean out with metal blades on weedeater, pruners or chainsaws a couple times a year.

I feel your pain.

I do to a couple, but it's not so much for the quiet as it is to keep the @%&*!# Spanish needles cut back.
