I recently upgraded to a better bow and found that the broadheads I have open up when fired in this bow, The NXT 400. I have some Rage broadheads that work, but you have to make sure you have the right collars and even then they sometimes fail. I have read the Deadmeat broadheads are built for the 400fps crossbows, so should be what I am looking for but wanted real world advice vs the marketing hype.

My advice is get a fixed head and never worry about a mechanical working properly. I use Magnus and Muzzy with great success. Both fly perfectly. Muzzy is a cheaper head that flat out works.

I highly recommend going fixed blade over the G5. Had a bad experience I won’t go into detail here with. I prefer the Exodus.
I have heard bad things elsewhere as well. I gave them a hard look and decided to not pull the trigger on them. I don’t really understand the circumstances that would cause them not to function as intended .

I have been using Muzzy MX4 for 3 yrs now on my Tenpoint Stealth NXT. They fly great out to 40yds and hitting bone is never a problem. Fixed heads keep it simple, one less thing to worry about.
