Doesn't really matter (not to me, anyhow). You learn some things about the game from me, while I listen to your beaver tales. I was going to walk back over there at dusk but never made it. I'm going to contact the local feds again and obtain their opinion pertaining to how far I must space the geese nest and which would be the best kind in this situation with beavers. I like the beavers but will hurt one over a gosling.
I already said that you couldn’t learn anything about beavers from me and I highly doubt that I could learn anything from you about playing pool.

I did read one of your posts and I know from that post that you do know something about pool. However I seriously doubt that you would have any chance of winning a race to 7 against me. Without googling it do you know what playing the ghost is?

You said that you have seen a few beavers. That's a few more than I have ever seen; so, you were wrong about that, just like you were wrong about the race to seven. I did learn more about the beavers today.

They moved into the pond and built the dam about three years ago, as well as beaver hill, and two Canada geese were sitting atop it today, per the property owner. He called that shell that I found a mollusk. I called it a clam. He said there used to be tons of them, and they are all in the lake, as well. I told him it was TVAs fault and would forward him a link. I also mentioned that I would be returning and grabbing it, for proper identification.

Why do you even bother talking to it? it is a compulsive liar, and all around POS.

Table in process. I put all this together last night and have it setting to compress the carper/pad. Friend coming next Saturday to finish it up. Be playing pool on my own table next weekend.

Looked like yet another sign of beaver action to me. It's the only one that I have seen. Not my words but interesting all the same and supports my theory:

That would be a coon eating those mussels. They keep a trail around one my ponds eating them.

Really like the rack and the color of the room!

All you need now is a layer of cigar and cigarette smoke about 3 feet above the table. ☺️
Room was already done in pink and black. It was my daughter's second bedroom. The pink brightens the room, and I aint gonna paint it again, lol. Gonna be a mixture of her paintings, and some hunting/fishing memories for the wall decor.

Interesting. The feds (two of them, anyway) immediately exclaimed otter as the culprit, without having seen the shell nor knowing precise location. I don't know why. It does appear to contain one sharp tooth mark piercing, though.

I sent photos off to the state expert, for proper identification and briefly chatted beforehand. We both think it is a "unionidae". He explained that to be a kind of hybrid between a clam and mollusk, if I correctly recall (may have said mussel, instead).

I need to pester him yet again and shall make inquiry. He told me literature does not indicate that Canada Geese will eat them. I replied that he happened to be mistaken, mentioning reliable sources find them within the diet upon occasion.

I have seen signs of only two shells, thus far. I need to do some more walking, as soon as time permits. Perhaps tomorrow will be the day.

why engage it?

Because he is a REAL man, you little snowflake.❄
