You will learn they are smarter than you think, I learned a new respect for them when I started hunting and trapping them. The coyote hunting sure don’t work like YouTube makes it look lol

Every time they come to a Call, it seems they do "Something Different." Or they used to, just don't feel like Cold weather anymore.
(Speaking about Coyotes, I never shoot bobcats.) They usually sneak in

Turkey yelp seems to bring them in pretty good in April. Have shot several yotes that came to the calling. Agree it’s much harder than it looks on the interweb, have tried several times in the winter and never had one come in, at least that I saw.

Like has been said, birds and rabbit distress are very good. If I’m calling cats, I want to be near a really bad thicket or near cliffs/laurel/hemlocks and will use 3 or 4 sounds (mostly different pitch rabbit with a bird thrown in) and play each one for about 5 minutes each with about 30 sec in between. Normally they will take longer to come in than coyotes will, so stay longer on stand, maybe 30 minutes instead of a shorter strand for coyotes. Often they’ll just enter a field and just sit down.

The Preds are really hard to call here, with such small fields (less than 2 acres) and all the ridges, the swirling winds just kill ya. I do think a motion decoy would help immensely here.
It don't help. Same deal here. Hollers and ridges. They wind me 9 times outta 10, just using terrain to their advantage. SOBs
