I haven’t had the bibs so I can’t comment on that but the rain jacket and pants I got were crap.

Rain jacket was decent functionally (not for the price) but Velcro unglued and fell apart on multiple strips. Hat brim didn’t work, which wasn’t a big deal but nice in a downpour.

Pants were really comfortable, but sh*^ for durability and QC on something was way off…I bought a pair, and barely caught it on a bush honey suckle branch and it shredded…I called and they made it right.(I paid for return shipping) only the pants didn’t fit the same AT ALL. I ordered the exact same pants and they fit like crap, so I called again and said something was off, and they said to return them (I paid shipping again) and they sent the same pant in the same size and they fit like originals BUT they ripped on a freaking random multi flora bush within the week. I babies these pants and destroyed two pairs.

The base layers have held up well but I’m so disappointed in the quality of the other things and customer service that I’m done with them. Plenty of good wool base layer companies out there who value quality.

What are the names of the companies who make good quality wool base layers?

Smartwool, Point 6 and Outdoor Research are the brands I own…Those things have held up for years and tbh other than trying the first lite base layers, I haven’t had to buy anything for a while. There are probably a lot more options for wool base layers now than there were even 10 years ago. Also, more often than not, I try to buy off season or from outlet retailers.

First lite
Sitka
Minus 33

All have excellent base layers. There are others I’m sure as well. I own from all 3. The new Sitka heavyweight bottoms I just bought on sale. They are good, kept me warm in the stand and on a cold 32 degree boat ride.
