I've been cleaning up piles of firewood that I never got around to making firewood that just went to rot around the yard.

I too found one under a log this morning.

I relocated him to the back orchard. I love them little snakes.

Them SOB's love woodpiles. Can't tell ya how many I've found in an old pile of firewood or logs. Buddy on the Mountain above Frederick MD every time we do firewood we see several. They get immediately relocated.

My brother emptied two full magazines out of his carry gun one day at copperheads in a woodpile at the church. We wasted some diesel that day.

I think they are a beautiful creature but needless to say I think they look a whole lot better headless. Been way to close to stepping in the in the woods to many times and with all my nieces and nephews running around. Every one I see gets to RIP

My buddy and I were creek fishing, he stepped over a rock and ole copperhead hit him at the ankle. Fortunately it was a mostly dry bite.

I wish I hadn't seen those pics Stoney. Out behind the house I've got 3-4 old wood piles that look just like yours......ugh!!
