Coyote Contest in Indiana

Highsmith Guns. Greenville Indiana had a weekend Coyote Contest over the weekend resulting in 200 Coyotes killed. My friend Shane and his buddy got 6...all at night with Thermal scopes. His buddy had a problem with his scope losing Zero, resulting in 3 losses. They had to rezero at 2AM.

I was trying to look that up to see what the prize money was and what I found is that PETA and the Humane society really hate this contest.
It made me sick to read their stupidity.

I took some guys with the thermel set up coyote hunting and was amazing, the definition of the animals in the dark are well defined, it was all new to me, I couldn’t watch it long it hurt my eyes but they got a few at several different places

I am the guy Jr mentioned was in the contest. Here is how the prize money paid out. They took the weight of the 3 heaviest coyotes from each team and most weight won. Fox added a bonus pound per animal.

Team with most coyotes was 24...they said they shot 20 on Friday night and only 4 on Saturday.

I am using an ATN 4-8 thor lt. My buddy was using a AGM TS-19 256. Both on AR's in .223.
We had a scope malfunction and a rifle malfunction at the same time on a double we called in.

If I'm not mistaken they have a coyote contest in or around bowling green, ky. I'm wanting to say it's sponsored by a gunshop called sherwoods guns. Maybe someone can confirm this information?

Did they check them for lead weights?

We had a certain way to tag them...zip tie right leg in mouth and then had to hold them up and shake them while taking video for each coyote while saying a code number. They took the top 3 places and reviewed video as well.
You can only do so much I guess to stop the cheating.
One of our small local contest a few years ago someone brought in coyotes from another tournament that had check in a few hours before ours and took coyotes from that one and checked in at our tournament. Can't remember how they got caught but they didn't want to put on anymore here because of it.
