Coyote Regulation Changes

Now that I'm an old retired fart, I have decided to spend some more time hunting coyotes. I've got a 200 acre farm in Bracken County, and it is an opportunity rich environment.

Somewhere, I don't know where, I read that the Commonwealth was thinking about opening up coyote harvest a bit, with more liberal rules on taking yotes with centerfire rifle. However, I see the rules for 2022 say that centerfire rifle is only legal from 12/1 to 3/31. Is that going to change?

Those dates only apply to hunting at night.
Centerfire is legal year round for coyotes, during daylight hours

Still don't understand the resistance to night hunting from April-August. I can understand shutting it down during deer season, but why not allow night hunting during the summer?
