Ive hunted with a ultimag for years. But i bought the latest charles daily 335 pump 3.5in with pistol grip, adjustable stock, and folding stock. Gonna try it out this year. Seemed pretty solid gun for the price.

I've used a red dot since the early '90s I have them on both my 870s and my wife had one on her 20 now my granddaughter's gun. Best thing since sliced bread. I will say buy a good one, put a new battery in every season and carry a spare.

I had a few cheap ones when I was younger and I liked them okay, I use TSS now so I am not as concerned about my shot placement on birds (I know it will probably come back to bite me one day). Wiith that being said I would choose vortex due to their warranty. If you have any issues at all they are going to send you a brand new optic or a step above model if they are out of the one that you had. I called their customer service a while back and they explained this to me, and from my understanding is that if ANYTHING happens to it outside of theft they are replacing it. I would love to put an EO Tech on a turkey shotgun one day, but I don't know if my budget will every allow for it. As someone else previously stated, the field of view you get with one is a major advantage. Plus as far as I know their warranty isn't nearly as good as vortex's.

I've been looking at this trijicon. Ive used red dots but never to turkey hunt.

Make sure you look thru one first. I have an older RMR and it has a yellowish haze to it. Plus they’re expensive and mine scratched very easy. I now have a Leupold delta point pro on one turkey gun and vortex venom on daughters. For the $ you can’t beat the Vortex.

I have cheap tru glo on my m2 . I think i killed close to 25 with that set up. As said biggest advange is you don't have have your check welded. Or get your head down as far less movement.

I put new battery every season usually leave it on over night at least once. Never had problem I usually turn it on when set up. If running gunning off when stand up. Some springs I hunt alot as in most days. Some not so much.

Here's my new setup, new to using red dot for turkey hunting. I put it half way on my picatinny , the eye relief felt most comfortable.
