He returned empty mouthed not long ago, receiving breakfast and big hug.

I've seen a ton of deer get chased and never once saw one get caught. I'm not saying it never happens, but they have nearly zero effect on them. A deer would most likely have to be in bad health.

Dogs can run for longer distance than deer, this is fact. I shot dogs in Iowa that were running deer with their muzzles drenched in fresh blood.

You don't think that dogs running deer to the point that the deer can't run anymore has an effect on a deer?

Funny thing the CO that didn't seem to care about the resource that his job was to protect told me about the same thing, dogs don't catch deer.

I told the CO, look at the top of the second picture, the dog has clearly caught the deer and most likely has the deer in it's mouth. These dogs were shot because they ripped into a little kid. Tell me that they wouldn't rip into a deer?

I'm sure there are some pictures and some witnesses to deer being killed. I'm saying its rather rare and most times a healthy deer will not be killed. We have something like a million deer in Kentucky and I'd bet the percentage killed by dogs will hardly make a blip on the statistical scale.

I tell people who's dogs are on me, you will never see my dogs on your property, please afford me the same courtesy.

Years ago...

Psssst...

Great Blue Heron hunting beneath a dormant willow tree.

My dogs did not get to go outside, because the bird had just flown in and landed. It has since flown to the other pond, because I permitted it ten minutes to hunt (that's plenty...).

They are further delayed, because the seven month old bully has just been permitted outside

And her much larger, mature boyfriend just joined her. Brewster gets to play with her afterwards.
