If that's the case then we wouldn't have Medicare Medicaid farm subsidies employment insurance healthcare for many low-income people in the richest country in the world. That is democratic socialism and Kentucky wouldn't be where it is now if there wasn't by your definition

Kentucky couldn't function without socialistic policies. Almost everybody in eastern Kentucky is on Medicaid and relies on food stamps and social security for food and income. We rely on other states to help subsidize our citizens. Kentucky is the second most dependent state when it comes to the government teat.

In reality the state population density and thus its corresponding gross domestic product and ultimately its federal tax revenue generated are linear. Higher populated, coastal states like California with its sea ports and 40 million citizens packed in smaller, more efficient spaces like a damn feedlot are naturally gonna have a higher gross domestic production, even per capita over states with populations sparsely populated and spread out like Kentucky and its 4.5 million residents.

There is a certain level of funding required by federal statute imposed upon all states regardless of population density that causes this discrepancy and the associated fallacies surrounding it pushed by folks like the merry band of resident retards.
