It was a long time ago. Caught him trespassing myself while hunting with my buddy at my buddy's place. I had heard poaching stories from my buddy about him poaching, but never actually saw it, so I probably should've just said trespasser instead of both. I know he does great taxidermy work, he just charges too much. But I know for certain he didn't abide by property lines 20 years ago. Maybe he's changed.

Hello- I see the article above regarding the Deer being mounted is making its rounds. I was involved on the City side and worked with KDFW. I would be happy to answer any questions any one may have.

Do you happen to know the extent of the fines and repercussions (truck, weapons seized) were? Ill i’ve read is he had to pay the taxidermy bill.

Any details on how this animal was poached (shooting drom his car vs setup a stand) and how they were able to catch the person responsible would be appreciated as well. Im underwhelmed by the vague news story lol.

He was fined. I do not know the total amount, but I believe it was $3000. He paid the taxidermy bill and lost hunting rights for three years. His crossbow was also confiscated.

He killed the deer with a crossbow. He harvested the deer on private land in Fort Mitchell without permission to be on the property. He did not shoot from a vehicle.

The individual that shot the deer then posted pictures on facebook. An individual recognized the deer and contacted KDFW.

Any idea as to what the deer scored?
