It is good for you---eat it.
Good to know, great for other folks. Stuff stinks to me. I’m sure I can find some delicious poke or any dang thang else.

Went ahead and picked one a week or two early to get an idea of what to expect. It was good but needed another week. Cantaloupe watermelon and butternut squash are looking great. View attachment 103253
Cantaloupe will slip from the vine when they're ripe. You can force em to slip a couple of days before they fully ripen. Watermelons will let you know by exposing themselves.

I've heard, and believe it to be true by sampling over the years that melons make all of their sugar in the 7 days before ripening.

A watermelon exposing itself means the white spot turns yella?

I'm starting to get excited about the patch of Blue Clarage corn and cornfield beans. The beans just started blooming yesterday when the temperature started dropping, should be a bumper crop!
Barney, I have some banana peppers planted in buckets. They have green beautifully and have bared some. But everytime they fruit I lose almost every leaf on the plant except the top. Then they will re bloom. Any ideas?
