Gutting Deer

Do all of you gut your deer , after taking one or do you leave the guts in , Im just curious I know in WV we gut our critters , NC and SC The majority of folks do not gut their deer at all before processing I guess its different in each state just curious

If I’m far from the truck I quarter it in the field. If I’m dragging it, you better believe I’m making it 40 pounds lighter lol

I've always gutted them, when I was a kid growing up the old timers would even cut there throat.

If it’s cold enough and you get a clean kill (not gut) I’m a fan of processing them without gutting. But if there’s a drag involved I’m absolutely gutting.

Gut them where they are. Save the heart, everything else left for the coyotes.

Same as always. Hang and skin.
Debone the hams on the hook, and reach in behind the ribs for the tenderloins is the only difference. Of course, you won't get the heart this way, but I don't save but a few of them anyway.
