Halloween hunting ?

I always hunt early season or rifle season but never bow hunt on or around Halloween. Was wondering what could I expect and how do y’all think it will be hunting around this Halloween?

I can tell you this,,,, If I was still bow hunting,I would be
hunting the first two hours of daylight and the last two in
the evening. I would do this every chance I got,now till rifle
season begins.....

Killed many on Halloween and seen a ton of cruising bucks that week. From the 21 Oct it only gets better by the day til the lockdown phase. Halloween is my favorite week. Thursday thru Halloween this week should be good.

I’m my opinion that’s some of the best hunting there is. The 3-4 days before and after Halloween is prime time.
Hunt scrapes if possible.

I always consider Halloween to be the unofficial start to the rut where the big ones get involved.

My wife’s birthday is on Halloween. When we first started dating I was to take here out for her birthday that evening. I went deer hunting and rattled in a good buck and got a shot. I hit high and I called her and told her I had to cancel our date because I had to look for the buck. I didn’t find the buck that night but got another shot a week later and killed it. So I ended up getting the buck and the woman. It’s been 30 years this year.

Halloween has never been that good for me, 5th to about the 15th of November is when I see the best buck movement,.

I agree. I don’t hunt for deer hard, but when I did not hunting Halloween wasn’t an option. That was before kids of course.

Never had luck on hakloween,sometime during first week November, the light switch gets turned on overnight, rubs,scrapes,every year road kill goes up,buck sightings go up,first week November, alot of years first week rifle seems like there locked down
