High winds

I don't know about all of you but I am having high winds again today. They die down and come back hard. At times it is as bad as the high winds we had the last time.
I really hat windy days.

Same here in NKY. Get it out of its system before turkey season. Had a scary moment on I75 today. Driving side by side with semi and it looked like it's trailer was starting to tip towards me. I floored pedal to get past him and looked in mirror, he was all over the road trying to get control of it.🥴

Finally calmed down after noon here in the far western end so I got out and went looking for morels with the dogs a couple hours. Didn’t find any but found a dog tick crawling up my leg. Guess I need to start spraying again.

Seems like it has been higher wind and more consistently this spring than any I can remember before. We had pretty high winds here again today. Must’ve not been too bad, roofers finally came and tarped the damage I had.

We can blame the Southeast High pressure, which is unusually strong and large, sitting just Southeast of Florida. As long as it sits there, we'll have days where it is very windy. If it stays there during the Summer Months we'll be dry as well.

I know one thing, I am glad I don't have to make outside gassed tobacco beds. Days like we have had would surely take plastic or cottons off the ground seeded beds.

Neighbor is putting his plastic on his tunnel for tobacco plants today after wind ripped it off.

The wind took my sons high tunnel plastic off last year. It also tore my greenhouse half off and I repaired it with part of the plastic from my sons high tunnel. Looks like crap but it works.
It is going to be a while before we put plastic back on the high tunnel that my son was growing produce in. It is going to cost too much so it will have to sit for now.
