I’ve never done much fishing for stripers or white bass but lots of folks that used to post here night fished the bridges and were experts. Lots of YouTube videos on the subject just Google “striped bass fishing kentucky” and it’s like a classroom. You can learn about anything on any subject on YouTube.
Coleman lanterns, over the side of the boat under Eggners Ferry bridge brought in plenty of whites for a lot of fishfrys

I've never really done any fishing for them but think I may get a rig for fishing from the bank at the dams. What gear would you use? Would a bass rod be able to handle a good size fish in the current or would you move up to something a little heavier duty? I watched a guy catch some in the 10-12 pound range the other day and looked like he had bass rods with baitcasters.
No problem but I've been on em last couple weeks. Be back after em next week. I use heavy medium action rod , regular bait caster with 40 lbs braid. Throw 5.5" deep diving crank bait, silver with blue or black back.

MR Dux, Quackrstackr and company, along with 1Wildcat1 looks like, used to wear them out at night below Eggner’s Ferry bridge (US 68/KY 80). I’d like to try it sometime myself, maybe get a floating black light to keep the bugs down a little.
I’ve been thinking about getting some lights myself. Always wanted to try crappie under lights.

In the last two weeks I have caught a 12, 15 & 20 pounder. I am trying to get a pic of a friends 38er! Plus lots of trout over 18"s. Fishing is really getting good.
