OH NO........Thats the worst idea. I will worry about the broken bolt. Usually by the time most people grab the easy out, you have already moved past the point where it might actually work. 90% of the time, they just make a bigger hole and make it almost impossible to get the bolt out without drilling oversize and having to use a bigger screw.
I believe I would be a whole lot better off taking it to Dan as soon as I can . At one time we had a pretty good gunsmith locally but I believe he sold his shop and I know of no one that knows how to reach him from what I have been told by members of my family.Left handed drill bit might work. Or take it to Dan.

Gary Roman at Firearms Service Center used to be my go to person when I lived in Louisville, way back in 98-99. Gary passed a while back and the machinist/gunsmith, Mark Basner I think his name was, had left before that.
