Guys that have hunted there question? Central or southern which is better? I went to college in north central , lived in central for several years. My wife in from southern. I saw several sure enough really big ones in Henry and surrounding areas. Same in Sangamon, I see nice deer in southern Il, when we go up there. But not like up north

Best big buck area in Illinois is the golden triangle. Most pope and young and boone and Crockett deer killed. But I think you can find a big one in almost any county in Illinois. Hunted Rock Island Co 1 and 2 gun seasons and Sangamon Co 1 and 2 gun seasons. Will Co for 7 years. Kankakee and Iroquois Co for over 40 years. I am interested in joining a lease or getting a lease with a small group in southern Illinois.
