Is it legal to camp on and island in Kentucky Lake or Barkley Lake?

Is some permit required? I camped on Percy Priest islands for years and loved it. LBL permit shouldn't apply since it's in the lake not the LBL and I can't find out anything on Ky site requirements.

We have done it in the past. I regretted it over the stiff back the next day but no one bothered us.

We used to do it all the time on Dale Hollow Game warden checked us out said nothing about camping

If you ain't hurting anyone and leave no trace you were there I wouldn't even question the legality. G&F Officers have plenty of bigger fish to fry

This weekend they won’t leave the party areas. I’ve never been checked by a wildlife patrol on ky lake so you’re right they probably won’t see one
